Andre Rison Wife Lisa Rison And Their Family Life Story

Andre Rison new wife Lisa Lopez Rison is from Michigan and used to be a flight attendant at AirTran Airways. 

Lisa is a breast cancer survivor. She discovered a lump on her right breast one day when she was getting dressed, and two days later, she told Andre about it. Lopez was only 36 years old then, so she wanted to consult with her family and friends first because she thought she was overreacting. 

Lisa's mom, friends, and twin all told her that it was probably nothing, but she should get it checked out. After going to the doctor, the Obgyn had her mammogram done. The radiologists saw something, so she had to get a biopsy. She was then diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer.

Mrs. Rison then went to see a plastic surgeon and a pathologist to fight back cancer. Lisa has had a double mastectomy. She also has gone through a lot of chemotherapy. 

Fortunately, she recovered from it and has been cancer-free since 2018. Regarding her recovery, Andre has said that as a Super Bowl champion, he has beaten the toughest in the game. When Lisa beat breast cancer, she earned her championship ring. And she was the MVP of their family. 

TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Andre's Relationship

Andre's current partner coincidentally shares the name with his ex-partner. Lisa Nicole Lopes used to be one-third of the American R&B girl group TLC, which was prominent in the 1990s. Some of TLC's major hits include No Scrubs, Waterfall, Unpretty, and Creep.

Left Eye and Andre started dating back in 1993 after meeting in a nightclub in Atlanta. Both of them had an intense on-and-off tumultuous relationship for eight years. 

But just a year after an incident, in 1994, their relationship went down in flames, and so did Andre's $1.3 million dollar Atlanta Mansion. On June 8th, 1994, Andre and Lisa spent the night partying separately. Lisa arrived at his Atlanta mansion earlier than him. Andre stayed out till 5 am partying. 

The NFL player had bought a bunch of sneakers but didn't buy any for Lisa, which made her mad. He tried to calm Lisa down. As per the Paper Magazine, he slapped her, pinned her, and sat on her. Andre left the mansion and stayed with Jason Philips, his teammate. 

Back home, Lisa set the sneakers on fire in the bathtub, which engulfed the whole building and destroyed it. She received five years probation along with a $10,000 fine. 

Andre later forgave Lisa and rekindled their romance. But unfortunately, Lopes was killed in a car crash in Honduras on April 5th, 2002. She was vacationing and was shooting a documentary on charity work there.

Andre has four daughters from his marriage with Lisa Rison and a son, Hunter Rison, with Racquel Banks.

His four daughters are Alesandra, Amada, Catalina, and Santana. Last year in 2022, the family visited New York City Lisa uploaded severe posts on Instagram on November 2022 from their trip to New York. In one of the posts, she explained that they wanted to stay longer, but girls needed to return to their schools. 

The Rison girls all play basketball and are coached by Andre himself. On September 6, 2022, he uploaded a photo of his daughters returning to school. And on September 2022, Lisa uploaded a photo from their trip to Valleyfair Amusement Park. In the post, she explained that it was their yearly ritual to go to the amusement park, but they could not visit due to the pandemic. 

Andre Rison Son Hunter Rison

Hunter Rison was born on September 3, 1998. He is from Ann Arbor in, Michigan. In 2017, he played as a wide receiver for Michigan State University. He caught 18 passes for 223 yards, including 11 catches spread across 140 yards. At Michigan, he averaged 86.3 yards per game, and his reception was 16.8 per yard. 

Hunter transferred to Kansas State University in 2018. While in Kansas as a sophomore, Hunter was blamed for battery and was suspended indefinitely. After accepting the charges in July 2018, he pledged to join the junior college team at Fullerton College. After waiting out during the pandemic, he joined Grand Valley State University in 2021.

Lisa and Andre have been married for ten years and celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in 2022.

To commemorate the occasion, Lisa uploaded a photo of them cutting a cake, and she said that she could not wait to see what the next ten years had to offer. On March 19, 2022, Andre uploaded a video of him and his family celebrating his 55th birthday, with his daughters singing happy birthday to him.

On December 13, 2021, Andre uploaded a photo of him and Lisa and wished Lisa her 41st birthday. The family vacationed on the beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico in 2021.

 Andre made several posts about his vacation in which he and his family are seen enjoying the pools and beaches. In February 2021, Andre posted a photo of him with Lisa and thanked her for keeping him at the top of his game.
