When the police arrived, they discovered a man who had been shot and had died inside the bathroom. David Carrasquillo, 30, of Springfield has been named as the victim by the Hampden County District Attorney's Office.

In the men's room, Carrasquillo was shot in the head, according to court documents that The Republican was able to access.

While some witnesses claimed to have heard a loud "pop" and saw members of the crowd running away, others claimed to have heard nothing at all.

However, footage shot inside the club revealed a conflict between the purported victim and another man, who was likely Murray.

On June 3rd, Murray was given a warrant for his arrest in connection with the alleged murder of David Carrasquillo, 30. Before being extradited to Springfield on murder accusations, he is being tried in New York.

The shooting death is being looked into by both the DA's Murder Unit and the Springfield Police Homicide Unit. While the city reviews its security protocols, the nightclub at 90 Worthington St. is now closed.
