Cari Farver was last seen intact in Omaha, Nebraska, on November 13, 2012, just three days before her family reported her missing on November 16, 2012.

The 37-year-old Nebraskan computer programmer, but when the case was looked into more, it became clear that her closest romantic contender for Dave Kroupa was the one who had killed her.

Shanna "Liz" Golyar, Dave's on-again, off-again lover, was determined to be accountable for Cari Farver's disappearance and killer.

When a separate team took up Cari's case in 2015, they questioned Liz and Dave about their consent to download all the data from their phones.

The main goal of this was to determine whether they may be able to identify the location from where Cari was sending communications.

Investigators did uncover a picture of Cari's automobile on Liz's phone, taken a month before the security forces even knew it existed, even though nothing significant was found on Dave's mobile.

There was also proof that Liz had at least 20 to 30 fictitious email addresses and a picture of a bound lady that had been emailed to Dave using Cari's ID.

Liz also made use of an app that let her schedule SMS messages for later. As a result, detectives started digging into Liz.

They surmised that for over three years, she must have spent between 40 and 50 hours each week imitating Cari. Finally, to coax her into confessing to her misdeeds, they decided to go ahead with her acting plan.

Maxwell Farver, her mother, Nancey Raney, and other family members lived with her in Macedonia, Iowa.

Maxwell continues living with her grandmother Nancy in the same home where they resided.

Even though Cari Farver is no longer with them, they will always have her memories.

The family is aware that no one will ever be able to fill the void left in their hearts by Cari, yet they must go forward.

Like her mother, Max is a software engineer, and Nancy, his grandma, helps him in his endeavors.

Before working as a full stack developer for an unidentified organization, Maxwell was studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering and Data Science, which he earned in December 2021.
