Casey Mittelstadt Parents Tom Mittelstadt And Dede Mittelstadt Business Background

Casey Mittelstadt parents Tom Mittelstadt and Dede Mittelstadt are from Minnesota state. Casey has two brothers in the family.

Casey was born in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and began playing hockey at a young age. He attended Eden Prairie High School, where he played for the school's varsity hockey team and was named Minnesota Mr. Hockey in 2017. After graduating, he joined the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) for the 2016-2017 season.

In 2017, Mittelstadt was selected 8th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL Entry Draft. He then attended the University of Minnesota, where he played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the NCAA. After one season, he decided to turn pro and signed with the Sabres. He made his NHL debut in the 2018-2019 season and scored his first goal in his first game.

Mittelstadt is known for his skill with the puck, vision on the ice, and ability to make plays. He has represented the United States in several international tournaments, including the World Junior Championships.

Casey Mittelstadt father Tom and mother Dede work at a North Light Color business venture.

Tom is from Eden Prairie, Minnesota. His alma mater is St. Olaf College. Currently, he is working as a President of North Color Light Inc. In addition to Tom, Dede has worked at North Light Color since September 2020.

Tom played both baseball and football during his time at St. Olaf. Dede has a brother named Dan Reimer. For years, it was a cherished family tradition. Dede and Tom Mittelstadt would lovingly take Casey out of school in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, as they would drive to St. Paul and watch the state high school hockey tournament together.

Tom saw a "Sport Court" advertisement on TV when Casey was five and decided to bring one to their backyard. The court quickly became an unofficial practice ground for Casey's minor hockey teams and a versatile recreational space for the family. In the winter, Tom would flood the court and transform it into an outdoor rink.

Casey Has Two Siblings

Casey and his two brothers Luke Mittelstadt and John Mittelstadt also play ice hockey just like him.

Luke Mittlestadt is a freshman at the University of Minnesota Men's Ice Hockey team and plays as a defense.

Luke has played for USHL's Madison Capital during the 2021 and 2022 seasons, he was successful in reaching the Clark Cup Finals. Moreover, he was e also earned the title of USHL's Defenseman of the Week four times, more than any other blueliner in the league. 

In his high school career, he recorded 19 goals and 36 assists for a total of 55 points in 60 games, leading the team in scoring. Under his belt, he has the Minnesota Class 2A state championship with the Eagles in 2020-2021 after a runner-up finish in both 2018-2019 and 2019-2020.

In his final prep season, he was named a finalist for the 2021 Minnesota Mr. Hockey Award and recorded 35 points in 24 games, including 9 goals and 26 assists.

John Mittlestadt also attends the University of Minnesota and plays as a forward.

John has spent two years in the USHL as a member of the Green Bay Gamblers, during which he appeared in 107 games. Notably, he recorded 27 points, including 12 goals and 15 assists, in 62 games during the 2021-22 season, with four of those goals coming during power-play scenarios.

Throughout his tenure with the Gamblers, he demonstrated a consistent ability to contribute to his team's success, having compiled seven multi-point performances in which he recorded both a goal and an assist.

Additionally, he has a strong background in high school hockey, having played three seasons with Eden Prairie High School and amassed 100 career points in 75 games. He also played a key role in helping the Eagles secure a runner-up finish in the Minnesota Class 2A tournament in both 2018-19 and 2019-20.

John has been honored with the captaincy of his high school team for two years and wore the "C" in his final season.
