Catherine Reitman Mother Geneviève and Father Ivan Are Both Actors

Catherine Reitman mom Genevieve Robert is a veteran actress who has had a successful career in both French and Canadian film and television.

Robert was born on June 30, 1944, and is knowns for notable movies such as The Crowd Inside and Dave.

She started her acting career in the 1960s and got her major role as Georgette in 1970 in the movie Red, a Canadian drama. Her performance opened new roles in films like Devil's Island Lovers and Dracula Contra Frankenstein.

In Canada, Robert has appeared in several television shows, including The Littlest Hobo and Street Legal.

In 1976, she married Ivan, a film producer, and focused on her acting and marital life. Her role as Vice President's wife in the movie Dave was the biggest hit in 1993.

Being the wife of a Hollywood director inspired her to direct the movie Casual dating which was about an adult relationship commitment and controversies.

Genevieve and her husband attended Canada's Walk of Fame at a star unveiling ceremony at the Hummingbird Center in Toronto, Canada, on June 9, 2007.

1n 2011, she made her appearances in the movie No Strings Attached promotion held at Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, followed by Ghostbusters in 2016.

Ivan Reitman was a Canadian filmmaker and producer. Ivan made his mark in Hollywood with movies like Ghostbusters and Stripes.

The director was born in a Jewish family on October 27 1946 to parents Karla and Leslie who survived Auschwitz Concentration Camp.

After arriving in Canada, Ivan studied and completed his bachelor's in Music at McMaster University in 1969 and produced short films for the University. His first commercial film was Shivers and Rabid for David Cronenberg.

His movies including Ghostbusters, Chloe, Junior, Meatballs and Stripes were the biggest box office hits. In 2009, He was inducted as an officer of the Order of Canada for his contribution to the Canadian film industries

Despite his busy schedule and hectic workload, Ivan always cheered and believed in gatherings the truth out of any scenario to portray the truth on screen. Both daughter and father spend huge time together, eating and laughing.

According to Catherine, he passed away on 12 February 2022 in his sleep. She was devasted and felt lost in the memories of her childhood, and her professional career haunted her.

Catherine and her father were close and often shared movie scripts and talked about ongoing projects together. Her love for her dad is going to reach the big screen as she is planning to make a movie about her father. 

Catherine Reitman has two siblings Jason Reitman and Caroline Reitman. Jason and Caroline are also engaged in the Hollywood industry.

Brother Jason R. Reitman

Jason Reitman was born on 19 October 1977 in Montreal. Jason is a filmmaker and an actor.

He is best known for his direction in Thank You for Smoking, Juno, and Ghostbusters Afterlife and frequent collaboration with Diablo Cody, a screenwriter.

The collaborator has appeared in small acting parts as a production assistant in his father's films and learned the editing process.

He pursued his academic qualification, Master's Degree in English, at the University of Southern California.

During his college, Jason made short films and started directing commercials. In 2005, his first feature film Thank You for Smoking was a blockbuster.

His "Up in the Air" movie won the Golden Globe Award for best screenplay in 2010. In January 2019, Jason worked with his father to direct the Ghostbusters Afterlife that released on November 11, 2021.

Besides the Hollywood industry, Jason is a self-described libertarian who moved in with ten years senior at the age of sixteen in high school.

In 2004, he married the writer Michele Lee after dating for four years with whom he co-wrote the Consent.

Michele and Jaso have a daughter Josie born in 2006. Later in 2014, they divorced due to Irreconcilable Differences.

Sister Caroline Reitman

Catherine has a younger sibling Caroline Reitman born on 11 December 1988 in Henderson USA. Caroline is an American actress.

Caroline is known for her stunning performances on Life and Times (1996) and  Father's Day (1997). She was grown up under the influence of a Czechoslovak-Canadian film director father and a French actress mother.

Caroline was inspired by her mom's passion and dedication to her craft and learnt to perform in the films. She also played a small role in TV commercials and TV series in her father's production.

Despite her excellent Hollywood background, she pursued her academic profession as a nurse by attending a two-year course at Santa Barbara City College.

Caroline is a married woman who has a daughter named Grace. She loves to keep her family away from the spotlight and camera of the paparazzi.

Catherine Reitman husband Philip Sternberg is a producer for the Candor Entertainment group. Catherine and Philip reside in Los Angeles.

His accomplishment in movies and series recognized him with five nominations at Canadian Awards and one at the ACTRA awards.

They first met in 2007 during the occasion of the audition and fell in love. Recently, she shared an appreciation post wishing their fourteenth marriage anniversary.

Reitman and Philip's journey started by producing youtube videos to become a real-life couple.

After the inauguration of  Wolf & Rabbit Entertainment ULC in 2016, Catherine and Philip launched the TV series Workin's Moms in 2017. The couple produced, wrote, and starred in the show.

After the airing of the seventh season in 2023, the couple will take leave from the series.

She Is A Mother Of Two Kids

Catherine Reitman has two children with Philip Sternberg. Her sons are Jackson and Liam.

They welcomed their first child Jackson on April 10, 2013. The firstborn attended with his mother at Today's Parent show in 2021.

The first season of the Workin's Moms series is inspired by the postpartum depression the actress had after the birth of Jackson.

The second offspring, Liam was birth in 2015. Liam is currently seven years old and enjoying his childhood doing fun activities, including weekend tours, reading cartoon books and child parks.
