Dennis Gates married Jocelyn Gates on 5 May 2017. Dennis Gates and wife Jocelyn have two sons Duke, Denver and a daughter Avery.

Dennis is a former college basketball athlete who played for California Golden Bears. He now serves as the head coach of the Missouri Tigers men’s basketball team.

After playing college basketball, Gates left his professional career to pursue coaching and joined Marquette Golden Eagles in 2003. He has also worked with Cleveland State and Florida State Seminoles in his managerial career.

The 42-year-old won the Horizon League Tournament in 2021. He is the recipient of HoopDirt Division I Coach of the Year 2021 and 2x Horizon League Coach of the Year.

Dennis Gate and his wife Jocelyn Gates have been married for five years.

The couple exchanged vows on May 5, 2017, in San Francisco City Hall, California.

They began dating on January 2012, as mentioned by the "Black Bride" wedding firm that had accompanied the couple during their ceremony. Dennis and Jocelyn have welcomed three children in their decade-long relationship. The Gates duo live together in Ohio.

Jocelyn Gates Is A Soccer Coach

Jocelyn Gates is a Soccer Coach and Senior Associate Athletics Director at the Ohio State University

Jocelyn became the OHS's new sports administrator for football, succeeding Diana Sabau in 2021. Gates is in charge of football scheduling, per eleven warriors.

Before coming to Ohio, she worked as a senior associate for college athletics administration at Boston College. Her roles as a SA in Boston included looking after women’s soccer, women’s basketball, and men’s and women’s golf. 

Jocelyn graduated from Howard University, where she completed four women’s soccer program seasons. She began her professional career at the University of South Florida and Duke University.

Dennis And Jocelyn Wedding

Dennis and Jocelyn had their wedding in a private event in San Francisco City Hall in May 2017.

The lovely couple celebrated their wedding with 50 to 60 friends and relatives. 

Sharing her experience on the wedding day, Jocelyn said to BlackBride wedding company, "My day began at 4 a.m. with hair and makeup. We flew our pastor in from North Carolina. Ultimately, we headed to Napa and had a great time there."

Jocelyn was 36, and Dennis was 38 at the time. They were mostly long-distance in their 6-year relationship. Due to their jobs, The pair could not live together for their first year of marriage.

Nevertheless, the couple stated in 2017, "It has only made us stronger. We have overcome a lot to be where we are now, and we would not change a thing. We have the same values and keep god at the foundation of our relationship," 

Dennis Gates Has A Family Of Six

Dennis is a father to three kids: Avery, Denver, and Duke. The baseball head coach also has two younger brothers in his family.

Dennis Gates has a brother named Armon Gates, the assistant coach of Oregon men's basketball. 

Before joining Oregon, Armon was a coaching staff at Nebraska for four years. 

The Gates brother had a rough childhood. Dennis, three years younger than Armon, said, "The responsibility of being a man of the house was given to me at the age of 10."

Now in their forties, Dennis and Armon are competing against each other. In 2018, Gates said to Florida State," it's cool. I feel for our mom. She has to cheer for us. It will be half a Gator logo and half a Seminole logo."
