Sanaa and Regina have been friends for over 20 years, demonstrating that two actresses can still support one another while competing for the same roles. In the 2013 film The Best Man Holiday, they played friends. 

Hall is not married, but she has been linked to several celebrities. In 2016, she was linked to her Barbershop: The Next Cut co-star Common. When Common appeared on The Breakfast Club, he ended the rumors, stating that he cared about Regina as a friend and was single.
