Is Marion Barber Related To Tiki Barber? The NFL Running Back Suddenly Passed Away On June 1

Marion Barber is not related to Tiki Barber. Fans might have confused the two to be connected as they share the same last name and are both parts of the National Football League. People initially thought they were brothers. However, they are not related by blood.

Tiki had played for the New York Giants of the NFL for ten seasons and retired in 2006. He is currently married to Virginia Cha Barber, who he met at the University of Virginia. They have four kids, sons Chason, A.J., and twins Riley and Ella.

Marion had two younger brothers, Thomas Barber, a linebacker for Minnesota Golden Gophers, and Dominique Barber, former American football safety. Tiki has an identical twin brother, Ronde Barber, a former Tampa Bay Buccaneer cornerback.

It is unclear if Marion and Tiki ever met as they did not seem to have played together. They were on entirely different teams, and Tiki retired a year after Marion was drafted.

Barber's brothers Dominique and Thomas are both football players. Dominique played college football at Minnesota, and he got drafted by the Houston Texans in the 2008 NFL Draft. He is the current Coord. Of Alumni Outreach Relations/NFL Liaison/Recruiting Assistant for Minnesota.

Thomas graduated with a degree in business and marketing education with a major in Youth Development Leadership from the University of Minnesota. He was the linebacker for Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Marion Barber's team has confirmed that he was found lifeless inside his apartment in Frisco, Texas. He passed away at 38 years, just nine days before his 39th birthday. 

The police officers arrived on a welfare call on Wednesday afternoon. The authorities have not provided further details, and the cause of his death might be revealed after further examination. 

According to NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth, he was known for his humanitarian efforts and often worked to give back to the community. His team released a statement and stated that they were heartbroken by the tragedy.
