After graduating high school, Austin signed a contract with Maryland and made her debut in the 2018-19 Maryland Terrapins women's basketball squad. Austin got named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team during her most memorable season at Maryland in 2018-19 when she set a school record with 89 blocks.
