Meg, Katherine Heigl's older adopted sister from Korea, was a part of her childhood.
She told Parent and Child Magazine, "I always knew I wanted to adopt from Korea because I wanted my own family to look like the one I came from.
Although we had discussed having biological children as well, we chose to adopt first. I merely desired to be a mother. So I'm okay with anything we decide to do. I want to adopt once more.
They adopted Adalaide as a newborn from Louisiana in 2012 after adopting Naleigh from Korea in 2009. And the second time was quite coincidental.
They announced the name of their second adopted child, and she says that she chose that name in honor of her great-grandmother, Marie, because of her middle name, and Hope in honor of what the adoption process ultimately became. Katherine of her newborn daughter.
