Manningham began playing football when he was in high school. He went to "Michigan State University." Further, he played on the collegiate football squad as a student. In his rookie season of 2005, a former NFL player had 27 receptions for 433 yards and the game-winning catch against Penn State, which resulted in the Nittany Lions' lone campaign loss.
