Mikael Backlund and Wife Frida Engstrom Have Been Savoring 2018 Wedding Moments

Mikael Backlund and his wife Frida Engstrom married in August 2018 in Skytteholm.

The couple looked glamorous in their wedding dresses and shared a great kiss. Mikael also had a haircut for the marriage. The pair enjoyed their ceremony by dancing in the venue and celebrated with their friends and relatives.

On August 11, 2020, Mikael celebrated his second anniversary with Frida with a tribute to their wedding photo. He also wrote in the caption that his spouse was the love of his life and missed her very much. 

Frida has also indulged herself in brand promotion for her husband. In her Instagram bio, she has listed the clothes and hockey gear from the Alberta Apparel fashionwear. The company had collaborated with the NHL star.

Moreover, Frida has also featured in the 4th season of Playmakers show, which follows women's lives with sports figures.

She has also been conducting fundraising activities. In her interview with NHL in 2017, she talked about raising funds for the upcoming social event organized by the Society of Alberta and presented by Scotiabank.

Mikael Backlund has two children: Oliver and Tillie Backlund.

The Backlunds have become a family of four. The couple has shared many memorable moments about their kids in social media.

Daughter Tillie Ann Backlund

Tillie Ann Backlund is the firstborn child born on May 7, 2019.

Firda celebrated Tillie's 1st birthday on Instagram. She posted multiple photos with her daughter, with the caption stating that Tillie was a very happy and curious little girl.

The comment section was filled with people wishing Tillie a happy birthday. One even remarked that they couldn't believe she was already one. 

Tillie and her parents also celebrated Winter Solstice with a cute Midsommer dress.  Frida captioned the photo with a 'Happy Solstice!'.

Son Oliver Backlund

Oliver Backlund is the secondborn child of the Calgary Center Mikael.

Oliver was born on March 10, 2021, at 4:50 am. He is two years younger than Tillie. Mikael shared this happy moment with an IG post as well. 

Mikael celebrated his son's 1st birthday on IG with the caption remarking that he was proud of Oliver and today was his kid's day. 

On March 14, 2021, Frida shared an IG photo of Tillie and the newborn Oliver. Tillie holding Oliver looked adorable. The comments also shared the same sentiment, and one user stated that Tillie looked like a very proud sister. 

Mikael and Frida have enjoyed their life with their kids on trips and vacations.

Mikael posted an IG post on July 4, 2021, with Oliver. He stated in the caption that it was Oliver's first visit to their family cabin.  One user congratulated him, and another thanked him for sharing the story.

The household also enjoyed their vacation in Mexico. Frida shared in her IG about the trip to the beach in their cool summer uniform. One user told the couple to have safe travels, and the vacation looked wonderful.

On October 22, 2022, Frida shared a photo of their kids enjoying the snow together. Frida also stated that it was their first snow experience. One user commented with a humorous "Hello, my little snowmen," while another was surprised at how fast the kids had grown up. 

The family also spent their time in the Calgary Flames stadium. Frida shared this beautiful day on her Instagram on February 22, 2022. Frida and her offsprings visited Calgary's locker room and wore an adorable jacket that featured the Flames' logo. They also visited the game afterward.
