Music Midtown festival has four stages namely Roxy, Venmo, Cotton Club, and Great Southeast Hall. Music Midtown is held at Piedmont Park in Atlanta.

Entire Piedmont Park will be covered by the amenities and stages for the festival and will feature four entrances and four exits for the visitors. Attendees will have the 12th Street gate, Charles Allen Gate (VIP only), 10th Street Gate, and Bridge Lake Gate available for entry and exit.

While entering from the 12th Street gate, visitors will first come across the Roxy Stage and Cotton Club Stage near the Roxy Stage. The festival-goers must travel to the other side of the park to get to Venmo Stage and Great Southeast Music Hall.

Great Southeast Music Hall is by the Bridge Lake Gate and the Venmo stage will be the shortest from 10th street gate and Charles Allen Gate. Although the 2023 map is not out yet, here is one from the previous year which is unlikely to change this year as well.

Food, washrooms, bars, and merch stores are scattered all around the venue with plenty of locations. Four first aid/ medical rooms are also available near each stage.

Music Midtown bag policy and rules are strict as they have a long list of prohibited items including outside food and beverages. Large bags are not allowed at all.

Music Midtown Bag Policy

• Fanny packs and clutch purses not exceeding 6" x 9" are allowed and do not need to be clear and will be searched at entry points.
• Clear bags not exceeding 12" x 6" x 12" can be brought inside and will be searched upon entry.
• No bags above the size of 12" x 6" x 12" is allowed including backpacks with multiple pockets.
• Hydration bags are allowed but must be emptied and must not have more than two additional pockets.

Music Midtown General Rules

• Professional camera equipment is not allowed. Selfie sticks, tripods, and camera mounts are also restricted.
• Audio recording equipment is also not allowed.
• Pets are not allowed except for service dogs with proper documentation.
• Outside foods and beverages are not allowed, coolers are also prohibited inside the festival grounds.
• Weapons or explosives of any kind and illegal substances are also prohibited.
• Umbrellas, tents, canopies, and shade structures, are also not allowed inside the festival premises.

Parking for Music Midtown is not available on-site and street parking will be prohibited to non-residents. Organizers suggest taking public transport to the festival.

Midtown festival venue Piedmont Park is surrounded by paid parking garages but the spaces might fill up quickly as people from all around Atlanta visit the festival. Some of the closet parking garages available are;

• MAA Piedmont Park & Jason's Deli  ($6 for the first hour an additional $2 per hour and a maximum of $18 for 24 hours).
• Azure on the Park ($3 for the first hour and $5 for every additional hour and a maximum of $25 for 24 hours).
• Midtown Promenade Parking (the parking will be open between 8 am and 10 pm every day).
• Loca Luna Parking (the parking is free and open 24 hours a day according to Spotangels).

However, these parking are not guaranteed to open during the festival season or allow outsiders to park there. Furthermore, some of the parks are over 10 minutes of walking distance from the nearest entry gate to the festival.

Each year over 300,000 people attended the Music Midtown festival at its peak in the early 2000s. In 2021, over 50,000 people went to the festival.

The music festival started in 1994 and was at its peak in the early 2000s with over a quarter of a million people visiting the festival ground annually. However, after the event stopped from 2006 to 2010 and resumed in 2011, the number of visitors declined.

According to RollingStone, only about 50,000 people attended the festival in 2021 after the coronavirus pandemic.

Music Midtown starts on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 5 pm. The first performance at Music Midtown for 2023 will begin at 5:15 pm.

The first day of the event will begin at 5 pm on Friday once the doors are open. However, people may get into the festival grounds much earlier and enjoy the food and beverages available.

Similarly, the second day i.e. Saturday will begin at 12:00 noon when the doors open. The first show for the second day will start at 1:30 pm in Roxy and Venmo stages.

The doors will open at 11:00 am on the last day and performance will begin 15 minutes later at 11:15 on Roxy and Venmo stages.

Music Midtown tickets start at $155 for one-day general admission. Super VIP tickets cost $1,525 for a three-day pass presented by Venmo.
