In an interview, Gourvennec disclosed the thigh injury of Tim and reported his recovery updates. Because of a thigh injury suffered in training, he missed the final three matches of 2021.
Likewise, Weah missed the World Cup qualifier in Canada due to a vaccine issue, reported in The Guardian. Coach Gregg Berhalter said to Guardian Tims's absence in the qualifier round.
Fortunately, he came back from the thigh injury and played 1st match since Dec 1. As per a report in The Seattle Times, Tim, the American forward, put himself in a better position to make the U.S roster for the World Cup qualifiers.
