What Happened To Chris Wallace? Where Is He Now?

Chris Wallace, who left Fox News after working there for over 18 years, has started to stream a new show at CNN. He was offered the renewal of the contract with his former channel network, but he declined the renewal contract and thought of moving on. 

He officially announced on Fox News Sunday, December 12, 2021, that it was his final day on the network. He boldly stated he was not feeling comfortable programming at Fox. He added it in November 2020; he felt his time there had become unsustainable and went more likewise in the following time. 

He had explained that it was a great ride at Fox and that he was now ready for a new adventure at CNN. His show not only included interviews with politics, but the subject matter also covered business, sports, and culture.

 He added that after decades of broadcasting, he was ready to experience the world of streaming. CNN worldwide presenter Jeff Zucker also expressed their happiness in welcoming Chris to the network. 

It has been just a few months since he started working at the network. But, recently, rumors of him leaving CNN have been circulating on the internet- thanks to the viewer's speculation. A recent report of CNN ratings plummeting sharply has made some netizens blame it on Wallace. Some even said he would get fired or leave the network because of shame.

Chris Wallace said he no longer felt comfortable programming at Fox in late 2021. After spending 14 years of his life at ABC, he joined the network. In 2003, Wallace took over Tony Snow's Fox News Sunday hosting duties.

Despite his significant achievements during his time with the network, he claims he left Fox News after employees there started to doubt the truths of stories about the violence on January 6 and whether the 2020 election was stolen.

Therefore, he declined to extend his contract as a "Fox News Sunday" host in December and moved to rival CNN instead because he found it was unsustainable working there. He added he had looked for other companies most of the time in 2021 and was searching for the one that was suitable for him. Thus, he is working at CNN now.

Chris Wallace spent 18 years with Fox, where he covered nearly every significant political event and landed several high-profile interviews with dignitaries and American leaders. He obtained President Barack Obama's initial interview with Fox in February 2009.

He also moderated the 2016 Republican Party Presidential debate on Fox News on March 3, 2016, along with Bret Baier and Megyn Kelly. Additionally, he spoke with President Donald Trump in 2017, during his initial interview following his victory.

However, he left the network and joined its archrival CNN. He had started a new show on CNN entitled "Who's Talking to Chris Wallace?" It shifted to CNN and HBO Max as CNN+ was shut down. The four-night show was then shifted to Sundays Weekly. He has not said anything about leaving CNN yet.
