What Was ASAP Rocky Verdict In Court? Charges And Arrest For Assault Case

ASAP Rocky has made a not guilty plea in relation to an alleged shooting in Hollywood in 2021. The rapper appeared to be well prepared for the case; he was dressed formally.

While he has said that he is innocent, his next court case is scheduled for November 2. The rapper was detained Wednesday at Los Angeles International Airport in association with a November shooting.

Mayers was flying in on a private plane from Barbados, where he had spent time with his girlfriend, singer Rihanna. Rihanna was with the rapper when he was arrested.

A search warrant was executed at Mayers' Los Angeles home, according to numerous law enforcement sources familiar with the situation.

He was booked into jail, but he was set free less than 3 hours after posting bail.

The victim has charged rapper ASAP Rocky with two counts of assault related to a shooting in which his former friend was involved. The incident occurred in the November of last year inside the Hollywood compound.

Rakim Mayers, 33, was arrested and charged with pointing a semi-automatic weapon at the victim. He was later released on bail in April and is free until his next court appearance on November 2nd.

During an argument with this person, Mayers reportedly pulled his gun and shot twice in the direction of the victim, as per prosecutors.

Rocky might face up to nine years in prison if convicted, as he is now charged in the case. The charges themselves were announced by the LACD Attorney's Office earlier this week.

Discharging a firearm in a public place is a serious felony that may have resulted in tragic outcomes for the person targeted and the innocent public visiting Hollywood.

ASAP Rocky's net worth is reported to be $10 million, placing him among the wealthiest rappers.
