Gayle King COVID Update: Is She Sick?

Gayle King was said to be isolating herself after receiving a positive COVID-19 test result just before the concert, but it was later proved to be a false positive.

Her doctor gave her the all-clear after a negative antigen test, giving King and CBS Morning viewers peace of mind. She replied, "Gayle is okay and fine, but she just has to put her mask on and keep going."

King later updated her fans on Instagram before her journey to Los Angeles. She doesn't have a COVID and is free to travel worldwide. She also said, "For the time being, she intended to wear my mask in public and was also terrified to stay alone in her apartment."

King's COVID-19 fear came months after he went missing from CBS Mornings between October 28 and October 29, 2021. In addition to her broadcast appearances, Gayle is the Editor At Large for Oprah's eponymous magazine.

Explore Gayle King's Health Update In 2022

Gayle King is now excellent, but recently she had to deal with many health issues. The 67-year-old CBS Mornings co-host "hobbled in" to see her doctor after days of walking about with a heel on one foot and a clog on her wounded left foot.

An x-ray and an MRI revealed that King had tendinitis. Before arriving in Levy's office, the journalist had spent the previous week attending numerous events in New York City while wearing mismatched footwear to ease her damaged Achilles.

King told Page Six at the Hollywood Reporter's annual Most Powerful People in Media luncheon on Tuesday that the suffering began the weekend prior. King, recently diagnosed with Achilles tendinitis, made it out to events this past weekend in more acceptable footwear.

She was caught faithfully wearing her boots and a yellow sneaker to match her fluorescent dress at the Preakness Stakes in Baltimore. Despite her injuries, King has been able to attend all of her booked events, which makes sense given that she previously told PEOPLE that she is an extrovert who "loves a good soiree."

That contrasts with her BFF, Oprah Winfrey, who prefers to stay at home with a good book, yet their friendship has survived for over 46 years, as they recounted in the 2022 Beautiful Issue.
