After completing his education, he got a job at SEI supervising account operations analysts. He was employed there from 2007 till 2011. In 2011, he moved on to work at the Hay Group as a senior analyst. 2018 saw Goldschmidt's return to AmerisourceBergen as the executive compensation manager. He remained there before moving to New York in 2019. 

Goldschmidt has worked at the Shake Shack corporate office since October of this year. He holds a senior manager position in the Total Rewards division.

Kevin Goldschmidt is one of the highest earners in the company, with a net worth of around 4 million dollars in 2022. He works as the Director of Total Rewards at Shake Shack and earns $106,242 annually.
