From 1975 through 1995, Mueller spent twenty years working for the Browns. He also held positions with other television networks, including Fox8 News and WKYC 3News.

 Jim Mueller, a cherished member of the Cleveland sports media, has died. The sad news was confirmed when WKYC 3News released an obituary post on 22 August.

On Twitter, WKYC 3News paid tribute to the distinguished broadcaster and penned, "We are heartbroken that Jim Mueller, WKYC's sports director during the mid-1980s, has passed away."

So far now, the circumstance surrounding his demise hasn't been revealed. It is believed the radio analyst's demise was a natural cause.

Some online reports claim Jim and his wife, Donna Mueller, perished after being struck by lightning in Lafayette Park, which is located next to the White House.

Later on, it is learned that Mueller was not the former Cleveland Browns radio broadcaster who passed away from the lightning hit; he was an old man on a trip to East Coast with his spouse.

The WKYC sportscaster's name is the same as that of the senior who passed away from the lightning hit, which led to confusion.
