According to Yahoo! Entertainment, Amir is departing the NBC series alongside Laura Sohn following Friday's Season 9 finale. The Blacklist star Arison will adapt in Khaled Hosseini's acclaimed novel The Kite Runner. Later, he will pursue other projects too.

According to Deadline, Amir is the longest-serving cast member of NBC. Since Amir is departing as a series regular, he might have appeared as a guest in Season 10.

In an interview with Deadline, Arison said he had been honored to play Aram Mojbati for nine years on The Blacklist. He has high potential to return in the next series as a cameo appearance.

Amir Arison Aka Aram Mojtabai quits the task force in The Blacklist.

He announced taking some leave from the series and planned to step back after an intense story act in the recent episode of The Bear Mask. The episode highlighted the importance of mental health.

Reporting to the social media, Arison joined The Blacklist as a recurring in Season 1 as Aram Mojtabai. Director promoted him to series regular in Season 2.

Amir is one of the case members who survived from Season 1 to Season 9 series regularly, alongside Harry Lennix, Hisham Tawfiq, James Spader, and Diego Klattenhoff. 

Aram Mojtabai is the role of an FBI Agent in NBC's The Blacklist. The executive producer/showrunner, John Eisendrath, said Amir had been a part of The Blacklist Family.

He reported to Deadline that Arison is a great actor and an even better person. John wished him well and hoped he could return to the series to reprise the role for some episodes next year.
