Nick Faldo announced his retirement with a picture uploaded on his social media and captioned a statement. People wonder if something happened between CBS Sports and the analyst as he is leaving the network channel. 

Nick Faldo released a statement on his Twitter on 21 June, stating his retirement. The golfer is also a golf analyst for CBS Sports and will air last time on the network channel at the end of the golf season. 

Why Is Nick Faldo Leaving CBS Sports?

Nick has shocked everyone after announcing that he will retire from the "full-time broadcasting" for CBS Sports and Golf Channel. He has presented as the lead analyst for CBS since 2006. According to Golf Digest, he will also compete for the last time in the Wyndham Championship in August. It is the regular final PGA Tour event. 

He also uploaded the complete statement given by himself on theosis media. His fans and followers did not expect that the journalist would be retiring so soon. Further, as he would be leaving the news channel, the Chairman of the form, Sean McManus, has already announced Trevor Immelman as the lead analyst for golf.

At the closing of the 2021–22 PGA Tour season, Faldo, who has been a lead Golf analyst for CBS Sports since 2007, announced Tuesday that he plans to retire. After a half-century of triumphs on and off the course, Nick Faldo decided to retire from golf and media. He has achieved all one could achieve in the world of golf. 

Having called his last Masters season, the six-time major champion will be seated next to Jim Nantz for the final time at the 2022 Wyndham Championship in August. 

The 2008 Masters champion, Trevor Immelman, who joined the PGA Tour on the CBS commentary crew in 2019, will take over as Faldo's lead analyst position as the athlete's contract has ended.
